Naomi Blohm, senior market advisor at Total Farm Marketing, said the shock of the tariff announcements from the White House last week may be factored into the grain markets for now, barring any new developments.

“The collapse in the stock market will force Trump to begin trade negotiations with our major trade partners yet this week,” said Al Kluis, managing director of Kluis Commodity Advisors. “The collapse in the stock and grain markets is putting pressure on the administration and Congress to make some changes, or possibly delay when the tariffs go into effect.”
