Vermeer is expanding its product line with new triple mowers, rotary rakes, and a large tedder — released in time for the 2025 hay season.
“Vermeer is 100% focused on hay, dairy, and beef producers and the products they need to be successful in the field,” said Shane Rourke, managing director of forage for Vermeer. “The addition of these products further demonstrates our commitment to this industry and I’m excited to bring these products into our lineup to meet our customer’s growing need for efficiency and productivity.”
Triple Mowers
Vermeer
Triple mowers are brand-new to Vermeer’s range of mowers. The new model brings together the FM110 front mower, and CM295 combination mower for a total 29.8-foot cutting width. The triple mower is available as in plain mower, rubber roller, or flail conditioner configurations.
The cutter bar is designed for ease of maintenance and durability with shear protection to prevent damage to the cutter bar’s internal components, quick-change blades for maintenance, and hardened steel skids and disks.
The hydro-pneumatic suspension system helps maintain yield and cut quality on uneven terrain. The closed-loop system adapts the mower to varying ground conditions with consistent down-pressure across the entire cutting width.
The FM110 front mower’s hitch design allows for a high degree of movement on both vertical and lateral planes by pulling the cutter bar instead of pushing it. This is intended to help with ground contouring, enhanced cut quality, and minimize maintenance downtime.
Rotary Rakes
The two new rotary rakes, the RR140s and RR270c, feature raking widths of 14 feet and 27 feet, respectively. The rotary rakes feature large 16.5-inch cam tracks. The rakes’ large components and easily accessible grease points are designed for durability and simple maintenance. The modular rotors feature separately removable spring tine arm pairs, and each bearing module is secured with only three bolts.
Tedder
Vermeer
The TE485 tedder has a 48.5-foot tedding width, making it the largest in Vermeer’s lineup. The hook tines have been designed to invert hay — with wet crop on top and dry on the bottom — optimizing hay quality through more consistent and complete dry-down.
