Unverferth Manufacturing debuted a new model 2520 grain cart with 2,500-bushel capacity, adding the largest size yet to its lineup of dual-auger models.
The pivoting 24-inch-diameter vertical auger coupled with 20-inch-horizontal auger and directional downspout unloads up to 1,000 bushels per minute, even in high-moisture corn.
The new grain cart features a rear access hatch with a ladder for easier grain tank cleanout, tongue-cushioned suspension for a smoother ride, extra-large viewing windows and a roll-over tarp. Additional standard features include a 520 scale package to automatically log grower, farm, field, crop, and other information, and a hydraulic jack to ease parking an empty cart.
Equalizer track design
For handling large loads, Unverferth designed a high-flotation undercarriage. The Equalizer track design has a 50-inch-wide by 148-inch long track with front/rear and patented side-to-side oscillation of each track, and provides a consistent footprint across the field.
The Equalizer SP track design features a 50-inch-wide x 172-inch-long track belt with a design that provides added flexibility with both a center-mounted trunnion plus individual idler wheels that pivot up/down and left/right for maximum ground contact and a smooth ride.
For maximizing uptime, both tracks are equipped with an auto greaser that applies lubrication to pivoting points at regular intervals.
UHarvest Pro weighing system
Options include the UHarvest Pro weighing system for data collection using an ISOBUS connection to the virtual terminal of the tractor. It automatically tracks each load using the grower, farm and field structure, as well as truck, destination, and crop variety for complete harvest data reporting via the included Slingshot cloud storage account.
The UHarvest Pro package can also be equipped with a moisture sensor for showing dry bushels, and the Accu-Load kit to automatically unload pre-determined weights.
More options
Additional options include a 5-function pistol-grip electric-over-hydraulic control of raising, pivoting, and folding the unloading auger and 4-way downspout, cameras for viewing the unloading process and/or traffic, a 275-gallon water delivery system, electric roll tarp operation, and rear hitch with 20,000-lb. towing capacity for hauling headers and platforms.
For viewing scale information by the combine operator, a side-mounted display with large numbers is available.
