Soybeans End Day and Week Higher

December corn ended the day and the week in the red. For the day, the contract closed down 1½¢ at $4.27¼ per bushel. For the week, the contract was down 4¼¢.

January soybeans ended the day and week in the green. For the day, the contract closed up 9½¢ at $11.17 per bushel. Week-over-week, the contract was up 1¾¢.

December CBOT wheat ended the day down 7¾¢ at $5.27¾ per bushel. December KC wheat was down 3¢ at $5.19¼ per bushel. December Minneapolis wheat was up a penny at $5.58. Week-over-week, December CBOT and KC wheat were lower, while December Minneapolis wheat was higher.

December live cattle ended the day up $2.58 at $221.35 per hundredweight (cwt). January feeder cattle closed up $3.98 at $319.58 per cwt. December lean hogs were up 43¢ at $79.40 per cwt. All three contracts closed lower week-over-week. For December live cattle and January feeder cattle, this week was the fourth consecutive week the contracts closed lower. For December lean hogs, this week was the sixth consecutive lower week-over-week close.

As of 3:30 p.m. CT, December crude oil was up 45¢ at $59.88 per barrel.

As of 3:20 p.m. CT, the S&P 500 Index was up 8.48 points, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 74.80 points.

Soybeans Up More Than 8¢: 9:31 a.m. CT

Ahead of 9 a.m. CT, December corn was down less than a penny at $4.28½ per bushel.

January soybeans were up 8¼¢ at $11.15¾ per bushel.

December CBOT wheat was down 1¾¢ at $5.33¾ per bushel. December KC wheat was up less than a penny at $5.22¾ per bushel. December Minneapolis wheat was up 3½¢ at $5.60½.

January feeder cattle were up $4.08 at $319.68 per hundredweight (cwt). December live cattle were up $1.90 at $220.68 per cwt. December lean hogs were up 35¢ at $79.33 per cwt.

December crude oil was up 50¢ at $59.93 per barrel.

The U.S. Dollar Index December contract was down to 99.40.

The S&P 500 Index was down 38.08 points, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 115.73 points.
