Okla. FFA Member Leads Slate of 2025-26 National Officers

At the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo culminated Nov. 1 in Indianapolis, six FFA members were elected to serve as the 2025-26 National FFA Officer Team. Trey Myers of Oklahoma was named president and, along with the other newly elected leaders, will guide the National FFA Organization for the next year.

Over one million members strong across the country, the National FFA Convention & Expo set a new record with 73,379 in attendance at this week’s convention, representing more than 8,000 chapters across the nation. Many stayed until the final session on Saturday to cheer on the long-awaited National Officer announcement.

Here is the full slate of 2025-26 National FFA officers:

  • Trey Myers of Oklahoma was elected national president. He is a former member of the Perkins Tryon FFA Chapter.

  • Lilly Nyland of Michigan was elected national secretary. She is a former member of the Careerline Tech Center FFA Chapter.

  • Joey Nowotny of Delaware was elected eastern region vice president. He is a former member of the Laurel FFA Chapter.

  • Jael Cruikshank of Oregon was elected western region vice president. She is a former member of the Bend FFA Chapter.

  • T. Wayne Williams of Tennessee was elected southern region vice president. He is a former member of the Woodbury FFA Chapter.

  • Claire Woeppel of Nebraska was elected central region vice president. She is a former member of the Chambers FFA Chapter.

To apply to national office, candidates must be active FFA members, hold the American FFA Degree at the time of election, and retain active membership throughout their term of office. From there, candidates submitted an extensive application detailing their FFA experiences, leadership philosophy, and why they’re suited for the role.

At the National FFA Convention, they faced multiple rounds of intense interviews with the Nominating Committee, made up of college-aged FFA members from across the country. The committee identified six individuals who exemplify leadership, vision, and an unwavering commitment to FFA’s mission.

This year, 37 candidates representing their respective state associations competed for the honor of national office. The energy in the arena during the final announcement — and the outpouring of celebration from members in attendance and watching online — captured the excitement and unity that define the FFA experience.

Throughout the coming year, the new National Officer Team will travel the country to connect with members, lead leadership workshops, and represent FFA at agricultural, educational, and government events. They will also work closely with the National FFA Board of Directors and staff to guide programs that promote agricultural education, leadership development, and career success.

Over the past few days, outgoing officers gave their retiring addresses. Now, these six leaders will serve as the faces of FFA, inspiring members to live out the organization’s values of dedication, integrity, and service.
