New Holland PowerStar Electro Command Tractors Are High Power Machines at Utility Size

New Holland is expanding its PowerStar tractor series with two new PowerStar models with Electro Command semi-powershift transmissions.

The new transmission option provides operators with more power, higher automatic transmission lift capacity, and better comfort features.

“It’s the most comfortable and highest-performing tractor ever put into this series. Whether you’re in the livestock or crop segment, the PowerStar Electro Command is designed to make long days in the cab feel shorter and more productive,” said Lena Patton, product marketing manager for New Holland.

Performance

The PowerStar Electro Command models are intended for crop, dairy and general livestock operations. These utility-sized tractors are rated at 110 and 120 hp, with PTO hp at 85 and 99, respectively.

The Electro Command tractors have a rear lift capacity of over 10,000 pounds, almost double the capacity compared to New Holland’s other PowerStar tractors. Each new model has a 21 gpm load-sensing hydraulic pump, used to maximize efficiency while maintaining precise steering. Up to three rear remotes and electronic or mid-mount valves support a wide range of implements for a variety of tasks.

All Electro Command tractors can be equipped with a CNH loader, with a variety to choose from for a farmer’s operational needs.

Electro Command Transmission

The new tractors have a 16×16 semi-powershift transmission, allowing clutchless shifting between key ranges, and includes up to eight automatic gear shifts. The transmission also has an ECO speed mode, improving fuel efficiency and reducing engine noise.

Command from the Cab

The PowerStar Electro Command tractors are cab-only models, with a variety of new features available. Fresh on the PowerStar series is the optional cab suspension system, and, when paired with the standard air suspension seat, is designed to absorb shock and improve operator comfort. A new high-visibility roof panel and panoramic front windscreen help with lines of sight when using loaders. The new electronic mid-mount joystick allows farmers to shift gears, declutch, and use the loader all from the joystick.

A suspended front axle is also available as an option, designed to help the tractor maintain constant contact with the ground, for better traction and implement control.

Telematics

New Holland FieldOps comes standard on the Electro Command tractors, including real-time location tracking, engine performance monitoring, and fuel and DEF levels. An optional advanced package provides more analytics and real-time machine data, and remote access to fault codes and operating data.
