Meet Envirotech’s 1,500-Pound Lift Ag Sprayer Drone

Envirotech Vehicles Inc. is stepping into the ag space with a machine that could move the needle in terms of farmer efficiency: America’s first 1,500-pound lift drone, designed with dual-use agricultural spray and wildfire suppression capabilities.

Built in the U.S. and ready for pre-orders next week, the drone can haul up to 100 gallons per deployment and stay airborne for as long as 45 minutes under full load. That means large-scale spraying and fertilization can be done faster, with less labor, and on terrain that tractors and trucks can’t touch.

On the other side of its dual role, the system can unload 100 gallons of water or fire suppressant in wildfire zones where traditional aircraft can’t maneuver safely. It’s a concept that aims to serve both farmers and rural communities on the front lines of drought and fire.

Elgin Tracy, Chief Operating Officer of EVTV, said, “This is more than just a drone — this is the future of American resilience. From supporting our farmers to protecting our forests and defending our skies, EVTV has built a platform that can change industries. Today, we’re proving that American innovation leads the world.”

With a U.S. market opportunity of more than $7 billion annually in agriculture and $5.7 billion in wildfire suppression, Envirotech’s move comes at a time when both industries are searching for scalable solutions.

EVTV will begin accepting pre-orders from U.S. farmers, cooperatives, and government agencies next week. Initial production is expected to ramp through 2026, with deliveries commencing shortly thereafter.
