KUHN Launches New Baler, Mergers, and Mower Conditioner

KUHN North America Inc. is introducing three new pieces of hay and forage equipment designed to improve efficiency, durability, and forage quality for North American producers. The launches include the KUHN FB 3125 fixed chamber round baler, the KUHN Merge Maxx MM 952 and MM 1092 commercial mergers, and the KUHN FC 9830 D RA rear-mounted mower conditioner with windrow merger.

Here’s more detail about each piece:

KUHN FB 3125 fixed chamber round baler

The new FB 3125 is a compact 4×4 baler built for livestock operations, custom balers, and mid-sized farms. Kuhn emphasizes durability and productivity with a heavy-duty bale chamber, low-maintenance design, and an 18 PowerTrack Roller System that ensures “rapid, uniform bale formation and excellent density.”

With Integral Rotor Technology, operators can expect smoother intake and preserved forage quality, even in tough conditions. The intuitive VT 30 terminal offers full in-cab control, including bale growth detection, binding process management, and real-time machine status.

Replacing the MM 950 and MM 1090, the MM 952 and MM 1092 commercial mergers boast working widths of up to 36 feet. These machines deliver flexibility with “up to eight different delivery options” for windrow management across diverse forage densities and field conditions.

The new models feature ISOBUS controls with a redesigned human-machine interface, allowing for quick in-cab adjustments to belt direction, pickup speed, and suspension pressure. Kuhn notes that the hydropneumatic suspension system ensures smooth ground adaptation, while the adjustable windguard with guide roller helps direct forage efficiently onto the belt.

A redesigned five tine bar cam-style pickup system with synthetic stripper bands simplifies maintenance and boosts performance.

Designed for maximum flexibility, the FC 9830 D RA allows operators to cut and condition nearly 32 feet in one pass when paired with a compatible front-mounted unit. The machine can function as a mower conditioner alone or as a dual-purpose tool with windrow merging capability — an advantage for those producing haylage, baleage, or dry hay.

Key features include ISOBUS controls for seamless in-cab management, the Optidisc Elite cutterbar with a slim, through-bolted design for precise cutting, and the Lift-Control hydropneumatic suspension system, which reduces soil contamination and wear. Kuhn emphasizes that these systems work together to “ensure clean, high-quality forage” across varied conditions.

All three machines are now available through authorized KUHN dealers across North America. With these additions, Kuhn continues its legacy as “a leading innovator in agricultural and industrial equipment,” offering tools designed to help farmers boost productivity while maintaining forage quality.
