July soybeans closed up 3¼¢ at $10.62½ per bushel.
July wheat contracts closed lower. CBOT wheat ended the day down 14¢ at $5.31 per bushel. KC wheat was down 11¼¢ at $5.39¾. Minneapolis wheat was down 9½¢ at $5.96¾.
June live cattle ended the day up $1.35 at $209.60 per hundredweight (cwt). August feeder cattle closed up 65¢ at $294.95 per cwt. June lean hogs were down 15¢ at $101 per cwt.
As of 3:40 p.m. CT, June crude oil was down $1.16 at $61.86 per barrel.
As of 3:41 p.m., June S&P 500 futures were down 4 points. June Dow futures were up 89 points.

Corn Down Nearly 7¢: 9:46 a.m. CT
A little after 8:30 a.m. CT, July corn was down 6¾¢ at $4.78¾ per bushel.
July soybeans were down 5½¢ at $10.53¾ per bushel.
July wheat contracts were also lower. CBOT wheat was down 14¼¢ at $5.30¾ per bushel. KC wheat was down 12¼¢ at $5.38¾. Minneapolis wheat was down 11¢ at $5.95¼.
“Grain and soybean futures are in the red across the board at the end of early trading,” said The Brock Report this morning, speaking of the overnight session. “Wheat futures [are] weakest, under pressure from improved moisture conditions across the U.S. hard red winter wheat belt and beneficial overnight rains in the northern Plains spring wheat belt.
“Uncertainty about the status of U.S.-China trade talks has been a negative market factor, especially for soybean futures, with Beijing continuing to say that no talks have been scheduled. Expectations for this afternoon’s USDA Crop Progress report to indicate good corn and soybean planting progress have also weighed on futures.”
USDA is expected to release the Crop Progress report today at 3 p.m. CT. Al Kluis, managing director of Kluis Commodity Advisors, said he predicts the report will peg corn planting progress at over 30% complete and soybean planting progress at roughly 22% complete.
June live cattle were up 73¢ at $208.98 per hundredweight (cwt) a little after 8:30 a.m. CT. August feeder cattle were up $1.55 at $295.85 per cwt. June lean hogs were down 10¢ at $101.05 per cwt.
June crude oil was up 12¢ at $63.14 per barrel.
The U.S. Dollar Index June contract was up to 99.32.
June S&P 500 futures were up 9 points. June Dow futures were up 181 points.
