Case IH Updates 2026 Planters

Model year 2026 Early Riser planters will have new features designed to help farmers know exactly what is happening with each row unit, according to Case IH.

Early Riser 2150

Conceal, a dual-band, two-by-two nutrient application system, will be factory-installed on Early Riser 2150 units, allowing for more precise placement of nutrients that plants need during early development, the company said.

“These changes aren’t necessarily outwardly visible, but they do increase data transmission and give additional row unit feedback,” said David Brennan, planter marketing manager for Case IH North America. “We’ve added liquid flow monitoring visualized through the Pro1200 display so growers know exactly what’s being put down on each row.”

The new system also recognizes instantly if a plug occurs so it can be fixed before causing problems. The bulk fill tanks have also been redesigned to help with seed flow during the planting process.

“With the stickier seed treatments we’re seeing today, the new bulk fill tanks minimize the opportunity for seed to bridge,” Brennan added.

Early Riser 2160

The Early Riser 2160 model will also see updates for model year 2026. A 24-row, 22-inch configuration will be available, which is beneficial for sugarbeet or narrow-row soybean operations, according to the manufacturer.

“University studies show increased row spacing helps with white mold pressure,” Brennan said. “In addition to that, when you think about secondary passes for herbicides, chemicals, and fungicides in soybeans, following a 22-inch row is much easier with a sprayer and does less crop damage.”

The 2160 has a 120-bushel seed and 600-gallon liquid capacity, front folded trailing frame design, and a lower horsepower requirement than previous models. The draft tubeless frame allows for easier frame and bulk fill access, and frame weight reductions minimize compaction.

Availability

Both the Early Riser 2150 and 2160 planters can be ordered now for delivery in time for the 2026 spring planting season. For more information, visit caseih.com.
