December corn ended the day up 3¾¢ at $4.16¾ per bushel.

“The National Oilseed Processor Association soybean crush for September was released today and came in above trade expectations,” said Karl Setzer, partner at Consus Ag Consulting. “September’s soybean crush totaled 197.86 million bushels, the fourth highest monthly total on record. This was a 4.2% increase from August and 11.6% higher than September 2024. Several plants came back online following annual maintenance in September, plus we have seen the addition of new crush facilities start up. Soybean oil stocks at the end of September dipped to a four-month low of 1.24 billion pounds. This was nearly equal to trade estimates and a 16.6% increase from a year ago.”

December live cattle ended the day up 28¢ at $246.78 per hundredweight (cwt). November feeder cattle closed down 65¢ at $380.68 per cwt. December lean hogs were up 45¢ at $83.60 per cwt.
