John Deere’s new Precision Essentials kits are aftermarket add-ons, compatible with a wide range of machinery, regardless of paint color.
The Precision Essentials package is designed to bring a farmer’s mixed fleet of machinery — whether it’s brand-new, legacy Deere, or a competitor’s brand — into the John Deere Operations Center. Farmers can view machine location, and gain data-driven insights from across their operations.
“Today’s agricultural landscape is rapidly evolving, with increasing pressures to boost yields, reduce input costs, and adopt sustainable farming practices,” said Christopher Murray, John Deere go-to-market manager for embedded technology. “The Precision Essentials kit is designed to help all types of farmers, growers, and ranchers address these challenges head-on, with a low up-front cost that provides financial flexibility and the opportunity to recognize the benefits immediately from enhanced operational efficiency.”
Deere’s ultimate goal is to help boost in-field productivity with the Precision Essentials kit. This kit is designed to help maximize each pass by providing data to eliminate overlaps among machines, and prevent input overapplication.
