5 of the Best Food Content Creators who Support Agriculture

The internet is filled with influencers all vying for your views. Who you choose to watch can have a surprisingly impact on how these content creators continue to reach people and on what kind of content the algorithms serve you moving forward.

One super popular area for creators today is food. Who hasn’t gotten some great recipes, saw a restaurant you really want to try, or enjoyed watching someone else do all the work of cooking?

As we all know, there are a lot of people who bash agriculture, instead favoring misleading labeling claims or talking about how bad a certain food item is. Even though all food comes from agriculture, some people don’t seem to make the connection with their food.

So here are some of the best food and recipe creators/influencers who actually support agriculture!

She Likes Milk

The face behind She Likes Milk is Hailey Pipher. Pipher grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Upstate New York, is a former dairy princess, and studies Agriculture Science at Cornell University.

She Likes Milk celebrates the goodness of life, which serves as a reminder to do (and eat) what brings you joy, starting with a glass of milk. Pipher shares delicious-looking recipes on her social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Her recipes could easily cover an entire menu. Some of her specialties are making various flavors of English muffins, bagels, and scones. But she also has recipes for soups, meat dishes, and creative sides.

She has also shared her journey of running a roadside farm stand. You can join Pipher’s “Real Milk Club” newsletter and even purchase her funny and dairy-supporting merchandise in addition to following along on her social media!

Paige_Eat_World

Paige Roberts grew up all around the world. She was born in Florida, grew up in Tokyo, and traveled all around the world.

While trying to find her path in life, she was drawn to cows. They provided a life of working hard, using your hands, and doing good by providing food for the world. Roberts works as a dairy herdsperson, loves giving farm tours, and gives a “behind the scenes” look at how food is produced and made.

She shares food facts, answering questions like “does milk have hormones in it?” and “what makes cheese yellow?”. Her goal is to bridge the connection between farm and fork, by answering one food question at a time! Find her on Instagram and TikTok.

From Scratch with Bob

Bob Dickinson has been sharing his love of cooking with fresh, whole ingredients to a large audience on TikTok and Instagram.

Dickinson grew up in the Yorkshire, UK, on his family farm. He was drawn to cooking, where he worked as a private chef and in the food and wine industries in the United Kingdom and Australia. Now, Dickinson makes videos sharing recipes for delicious meals and how to make your own ingredients at home (like cheese, kefir, butter, bread, english muffins, jams, and more).

His focus is on showing just how delicious and how much joy cooking at home can bring, especially if you are using fresh ingredients and processing your own ingredients at home.

Jaclyn London RD

Jaclyn London is a registered dietitian and former Head of Nutrition & Wellness at Weight Watchers. Recently, London had pivoted to sharing her messages on social media. She spends her time debunking myths and sharing the true facts behind your diet.

London is also an author and has appeared on many popular talk shows. On social media you can often find her “reacting” to people’s often false nutrition claims about what can make you healthier or help you lose weight, and she’s one of very few creators you can find actually citing her ounces and teaching you where to learn more. You can find her on Instagram and Facebook.

Blondie’s Butcher Shop

While this is technically a business, “Blondie” is a real person and the face behind Blondie’s Butcher Shop.

Lindsey Loken was raised deep in the ag industry, and after a career in emergency medicine and working on a ranch in Montana, she moved back home to Wanamingo, Minnesota, to start her own butcher shop — the only pink meat locker this side of the Mississippi!

On her social media, Loken doesn’t just promote her business —  she’s out to educate the world about meat and butchery. Loken gives live meat cutting demonstrations during speaking engagements, on television, and on social media. She shares the behind the scenes of what exactly goes into breaking down carcasses, some need-to-know info about organ meats and other cuts of meat people don’t know much about, and occasionally some recipes to use your meat.

All of these creators have one thing in common. They see the joy that food can bring and its importance in our lives for more than just nutrition. These creators strive to share a deeper story behind how your food is made and produced, give you some inspiration for new recipes, and educate the world about food.

There are lots of great food creators out there, be sure to give these ones a follow!

Michelle Miller, the Farm Babe, is a farmer, public speaker, and writer who has worked for years with row crops, beef cattle, and sheep. She believes education is key in bridging the gap between farmers and consumers. Find more about Michelle on her website.
