The parents of a 6-year-old Florida boy who was found with his head in a motel room toilet last month are now being accused of his murder, police said Wednesday.

Larry Rhodes, 22, and girlfriend Bianca Blaise, 25, face charges for murder and child neglect with great bodily harm after the deadly incident last month at a Kissimmee motel, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Rhodes also was charged with aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter.

Deputies responded to the motel last month after getting reports that a child was injured and had his head in the toilet, according to Local 10.

They found Larry Rhodes, 22, holding the unconscious boy with badly swollen eyes and no pulse.

The boy was rushed to a local hospital, where it was determined that he was suffering extensive brain bleeding. He finally succumbed to his injuries this week.

Deputies also found five other children with signs of physical abuse at the scene, including burns, scars, black eyes, bleeding and extensive bruising. They ranged in age from infants up to 6 years, police said.

Rhodes and Blaise were both arrested on child abuse charges.

In interviews, they told cops that the kids were injured while fighting with each other.
