Claas has announced the new Jaguar 1000 series of self-propelled forage harvesters with the company’s widest crop flow channel to date.

The series is launching with four models: the Jaguar 1080, 1090, 1100, and 1200, ranging 850–1,110 hp with throughput rates of up to 500 tons per hour.

“We didn’t just tweak the old platform — we reimagined everything,” said Matt Jaynes, product manager at Claas of America. “These machines feature a truly ground-up engineering approach, with wider crop flow, a more intelligent drive system, and significant advancements in chop quality and cab comfort.”

The new forage harvesters run on a 24-liter V12 MAN engine, providing more torque across all harvesting conditions. The engine uses Cemos Auto Performance intelligent engine load management, and all-wheel drive to make sure the machines can adapt to changing field conditions.

The Jaguar 1000 series feature Claas’ widest crop flow channel to date. The new compression system and four pre-compression rollers help provide uniform feeding to the V-Flex knife drum for consistent chop quality. The V-Flex knife drum is also bigger than previous models, coming in at nearly 3 feet wide. Farmers are able to use different knives on the drum for a wider range of cutting lengths.

The series also features the new Multi-Crop Cracker XL, a 12.2 inch diameter roller conditioning system designed for optimal grain and stover processing, even at high throughput rates. This tool is available in classic or Shredlage configurations, adding 40% and 50% faster chopping speeds, respectively.

Attachments

The Jaguar 1000 series is launching with new attachments including the Pick Up 3800 and 4500 heads for grass and hay, and the Orbis 9000 and 10500 heads for corn. The new headers are designed to enable fine-tuned header speeds based on crop conditions. They also eliminate the need for chain drives and clutches, reducing maintenance points on the forage harvesters.

Creature Features

The Jaguar 1000 series cab is custom-made for Claas’ forage harvesters. The leather seat has heating, cooling, and rotation features standard. The optional joystick steering option allows fingertip controls during headland turns. The cab is also designed for enhanced visibility and sound reduction.

Intelligent functions like Auto Fill and Cemos Auto Performance help reduce fatigue and increase productivity. The forage harvesters the latest version of the Nutrimeter, which uses near-infrared sensors to measure dry matter content in real time, and adjust cut length accordingly.

Large tire options, differential locks, and tire pressure control systems are also available on the Jaguar 1000 series.
