U.S. Marine Corps veteran Mike Evans of Lytle, Texas, received a new Mahindra 1626 Shuttle as the 2023 recipient of the Mahindra Military Salute Giveaway.
Evans received the tractor during an event at Mahindra dealer Bill’s Tractor and Equipment Showroom in nearby Adkins, Texas.
Evans completed two tours of Iraq between 2005 and 2009 during his time in the Marine Corps. He lives on a small acreage in Lytle that he has been working to improve and says the 1626 will be a “huge upgrade” in getting that done.
“The men and women in our military make sacrifices every day for all Americans,” said Mahindra President & CEO Viren Popli. “Mike is a great example of that, serving in two overseas deployments. I’m honored to recognize his service and express thanks on behalf of all Mahindra employees and dealers for everything he and the many other members of our military have done for us.”
Mahindra’s Military Salute Giveaway is an event that recognizes the service and sacrifice of active and veteran U.S. military members. Evans is the sixth award winner in the program’s history.
“We cannot say thank you enough for this amazing opportunity and gift, it is a blessing,” said Evans. “My family and I deeply appreciate Mahindra’s support of the military through this program.”
