GSI has debuted several new products for 2025 including a new mixed flow dryer, online dryer selection tool, and a 14-inch chain conveyor.

Mixed Flow Dryer

The new Mixed Flow Dryer is an on-farm dryer designed for efficiency. Without any screens to clean, farmers can maintain capacity and reduce downtime. Lower airflow through the dryer slowly dries the grain to preserve grain quality and improve fuel efficiency.

The burners are designed to provide even heat distribution and maximum airflow to the dryer’s plenum. Other drying features include an adjustable vaporizer, large service access door, burner view window, and oil-filled gas pressure gauges. A static moisture sampler takes a reading once per minute and automatically adjusts the dryer to provide optimal grain results.

Airflow is sized to match the drying section to achieve consistent airflow and capacity. Modules are independently controlled, allowing for multi-zone temperature as well as the ability to run full heat or dry/cool modes. Standard on/off fire offers a wider range of plenum temp control down to 5°F above ambient temperature for wheat and other temperature-sensitive grains. High/low fire cycling helps maintain a uniform plenum temperature. Each plenum chamber also has an air-mixing chamber to mix the air and heat.

Metering rolls on each side of the dryer move grain to a drag discharge conveyor to unload smoothly and gently from your dryer to your handling system. When grain quality is poor or debris is present, adjustable flow gates allow custom control of grain volume in each column for consistent drying.

Models

There are six different Mixed Flow Dryer models available:

  • 8 Tier: 736–1,478 bushel capacity, 1,060–1,930 bushel per hour (BPH) drying capacity.
  • 12 Tier: 1,104–2,217 bushel capacity, 1,580–2,900 BPH drying capacity.
  • 14 Tier: 1,288–2,586 bushel capacity, 1,890–3,260 BPH drying capacity.
  • 16 Tier: 1,472–2,956 bushel capacity, 2,130–3,890 BPH drying capacity.
  • 18 Tier: 1,656–3,325 bushel capacity, 2,380–4,230 BPH drying capacity.
  • 20 Tier: 1,840–3,695 bushel capacity, 2,630–4,830 BPH drying capacity.

VersaLoop Chain Conveyor

The new VersaLoop chain conveyor adds a 14-inch model to GSI’s existing lineup of 8-, 10-, and 12-inch tube diameters. The new size is capable of moving 15,000 bushels of grain per hour — 5,000 more bushels than the next size down. The VersaLoop has a direct-drive configuration, and the drive end is located at ground level for easy access to maintenance. The conveyor inclines up to 60° to load taller bins, and doesn’t require a catwalk for support.

Online Selection Tool

GSI has also introduced an online tool to help potential customers determine which dryer is right for their operation. Farmers need to answer a few short questions, and the website will generate personalized recommendations. To learn more about the tool, visit the website here.
