Mahindra giving away subcompact tractor to lucky veteran

Mahindra Ag North America is offering a chance for a veteran, active-duty military, or reservists to win a Mahindra 1120 tractor with a loader and mower. This is being done as part of Mahindra’s Military Salute Giveaway, which was announced Dec. 27 during the Armed Forces Bowl college football game.

The promotion is open for qualifying participants through Saturday, Feb. 15, with details and entry available at the Mahindra Sweeps website. This is the 11th year that Mahindra Ag North America is hosting this giveaway.

A winner will be announced on March 18 to commemorate National Ag Day, of which AGDAILY is a sponsor.

The Mahindra 1120 is ones of the brand’s tractors and was prominently featured last year at the National Farm Machinery Show. The entry-level 1120 incorporates telematics, which allow users to do such things as remotely monitoring how much diesel fuel the tractor has or receiving an alert when the tractor moves — a geo-fence that helps prevent theft or unwanted use of a machine. This is something that’s not common to the compact and subcompact tractor space.

This 20.1 hp subcompact also has ease-of-use features, such as side-by-side pedals instead of a rocker pedal, quick coupling in all equipment, and an electronic PTO knob as opposed to a lever. It even has a display to aid new owners in following the four steps to start and run the machine: sitting on the seat, having a foot on the brake, setting the gear to neutral, and turning the PTO off.
