The companies have announced digital integration between John Deere’s Operation Center and Nutrien Ag Solutions’ Digital Hub.
The goal of this release is to help growers by optimizing logistics and enabling variable rate agronomic recommendations to be sent to their equipment for execution in the field. This is part of a multi-year commitment to this integration to jointly develop precision ag solutions.
Growers control the access level to their data in John Deere Operations Center, and can share access to Nutrien’s Digital Hub where crop consultants can make customized recommendations. When combined with Operation Center Pro’s logistic tools, this is intended to improve equipment dispatch efficiency and wireless work order transmission to the cab.
“Nutrien Ag Solutions is committed to being the most grower-focused agronomic solutions provider, and this collaboration enhances that service by further transforming the way we support and digitally engage with our growers,” says David Elser, senior vice president of North America for Nutrien Ag Solutions. “The expertise John Deere brings in equipment, connectivity, and fleet management solutions allows our crop consultants to have improved access to data, and to provide better services to our growers via Nutrien Ag Solutions Digital Hub.”
John Deere Operations center is a digital ag platform, with over 200 connected software companies, says Deanna Kovar, vice president of production systems for John Deere. Recently, Deere launched the professional tier of Operations Center to give dispatching and logistics recommendations for farmers’ whole fleets, regardless of paint color.
