John Deere announces Z370R Electric Ztrack all-electric zero turn mower

John Deere is launching its first all-electric zero turn mower, the Z370R Electric Ztrack.

This tractor is targeted for residential property owners for yard maintenance uses. This tractor is designed to produce less noise and vibration while mowing to promote a more comfortable operating experience.

“Everyone has different needs when it comes to their land, and we understand that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to energy solutions,” says Eric Halfman, go-to-market manager for riding lawn equipment at John Deere. “That’s why it is important for us to provide our customers with a broad range of mower options without compromising performance from gas machines.”

Z370R Features

Simplicity is at the core of the Z370R’s design. The mower is controlled by twin levers and has a travel speed of up to 7 mph. For quick parking, users can push the levers outward, and a push-button start can quickly turn on the machine.

The mower is equipped with a 42-inch Accel Deep mower deck, designed to provide a clean cut at faster speeds. The deck has a cutting height range between 1.25 and 4.5 inches, with cutting height increments at every .25 inches. The blades on the Accel Deep mower deck are designed for high quality cut, resilience to damage, and long wear life.

An optional mulch control attachment is available with a deep mower-deck design, allowing for optimal recutting and even distribution of clippings. The mower can convert to side-discharge if the grass is too tall to mulch. An optional 6.5 bushel rear bagger is available to collect grass clippings and leaves.

The 3.56 kWh battery can mow up to 2 acres on a single charge and is fully sealed for mowing in wet and rainy conditions. For ease of use, the new mower can be charged without removing the batteries or using a proprietary charger, instead using a standard outdoor extension cord and a 120-volt grounded outlet.

To avoid getting stranded when the battery is near depletion, the mower blades will switch off and a battery reserve will allow you to drive the mower to a charging outlet. For peace of mind, the mower battery is backed by a 5-year or 200-hour warranty.

Without a traditional engine, the mower is designed to be low maintenance, eliminating the need for engine oil changes, spark plugs, air filters, mower belts, and greasing.

Additional features include large front and side frame rails for increased machine durability. The Z370R also features a large LCD screen used for monitoring battery levels and to adjust mowing settings. A Bluetooth system allows users to remotely monitor the mower’s charge status and battery through an additional app.

Availability

The 2024 Z370R Electric ZTrak Mower is available for pre-order now with a starting price of $6,399. For more information, visit JohnDeere.com.
