Lay’s returned to the Super Bowl with another farmer-focused emotional sequel to last year’s Little Farmer. Airing in the first half of the Feb. 8 game, the spot, titled Last Harvest, follows a father-daughter potato farming duo as they navigate a pivotal moment of generational transition on the farm.

Last Harvest leans into legacy, mentorship, and the passing down of farming knowledge. Set to a moving cover of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know, the commercial weaves together present-day moments and heartfelt flashbacks, highlighting the weight of succession in family agriculture. The story reflects a familiar reality for many farm families as one generation prepares to step aside while the next takes the reins.

The ad was inspired by Neumiller Farms in Illinois, a third-generation potato and vegetable operation that has worked with PepsiCo for decades. Now led by father-and-daughter team Tom Neumiller and Katie Floming, the farm produces roughly 3,500 acres of potatoes each year. In the commercial, Tom guides Katie through one final harvest.
