Tens of thousands of blue jackets filled the streets of Indianapolis during the 98th National FFA Convention and Expo last month, as members took part in service projects, general sessions, competitions, industry tours, and more. The National FFA Organization shared the impressive stats from the largest-ever annual gathering of FFA members, advisors, alumni, and supporters.

More than 73,000 attendees traveled from across the country to the convention. Their presence delivered an impressive $41 million in economic impact to the “Circle City” as members and advisors spread out across the Indiana Convention Center, Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indiana State Fairgrounds, and other central Indiana venues.

Over 3,000 delegates and students participated in 28 community service projects, supporting local organizations and neighborhoods. Inside the convention, hands-on learning thrived: over 13,000 students and teachers took part in 141 workshops, including 39 for educators and 102 for students.

The city was also buzzing as attendees filled over 100 hotels, and while inside the Expo, more than 300 exhibitors showcased innovations across agriculture, education, manufacturing, and technology.

The ShopFFA Mega Store saw participation from over 30 vendors, creating one of the largest FFA shopping experiences ever assembled.

Service-minded attendees also braided 70,064 feet of paracord to create 1,541 dog leashes as part of the Living to Serve initiative — a powerful reminder of the organization’s mission.

The convention culminated in a celebration of achievement: 5,161 American FFA Degrees and 245 Honorary American FFA Degrees were awarded on stage in Lucas Oil Stadium, honoring outstanding dedication to agricultural education and leadership.
