Culver’s has launched its third annual To Farmers With Love contest, a central initiative of the Thank You Farmers Project.

This year, Culver’s has more than doubled the total prize money, recognizing the critical role that farmers play in ensuring a steady and sustainable food supply. The contest, which opens today, will run through October 11, leading up to National Farmer’s Day on October 12 — a day set aside to honor the contributions of farmers across the country.

In a twist for 2024, Culver’s will award one lucky farmer a grand prize package, offering enhanced support to a farm that has made a notable impact on their community. Over the past two years, the contest has invited customers and community members to nominate deserving farmers, giving them the chance to win a cash prize to help fund improvements on their farms.

This year, 30 winning farmers will each receive a $500 cash prize, Culver’s gift cards, and a special Thank You Farmers Project gift package — doubling the number of winners from previous contests. Culver’s will also demonstrate its commitment to agricultural education by donating $575 in each winning farmer’s name to a local FFA chapter of their choice. By supporting both farmers and FFA chapters, Culver’s aims to strengthen the future of agriculture through youth development and leadership programs.

The grand prize winner will be awarded a $5,000 cash prize, specifically intended to help fund enhancements for their farm, along with a $5,000 donation made in their name to a local FFA chapter. In addition to the cash prize, the grand prize winner will receive Culver’s gift cards and a special Thank You Farmers Project gift package.

“Culver’s is deeply committed to investing in the future of agriculture, and nobody embodies that future more than these hardworking farmers,” said Alison Demmer, senior marketing and public relations manager at Culver’s. “These individuals play a pivotal role in feeding our communities, and we’re honored to recognize their dedication. We hope that this contest not only supports them but also inspires the next generation of agricultural leaders to continue producing nutritious food and maintaining a sustainable and vibrant food supply.”

Since its inception in 2013, the Thank You Farmers Project has raised over $5 million in donations for agricultural organizations, with the primary focus being on youth leadership and agricultural education programs like FFA. Culver’s commitment goes beyond just financial support; it’s a long-term effort to sustain the farming community and ensure that future generations of farmers have the tools and resources they need to thrive.

The contest is vital to Culver’s broader mission to foster a deeper connection between its customers and the farmers who provide the fresh ingredients for its beloved menu items, including its famous ButterBurgers and fresh frozen custard. By engaging the public in nominating farmers, Culver’s is giving back to the agricultural community and raising awareness about the hard work and dedication that goes into producing the food on America’s tables.
