On Giving Tuesday, Carhartt teamed up with Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation to support families facing hunger across the country. Together, the partners are making a combined $500,000 gift to Feeding America, helping provide 5 million meals nationwide and reinforcing a shared commitment to step up for communities when it matters most.

In addition to the donation, Carhartt released a new short film, “Gatherings,” in honor of the farmers and ranchers whose work keeps America’s holiday traditions going. Part of the brand’s “Making the Holidays Possible” campaign, the film is a reminder that the meals we share this season begin long before the kitchen — built on early mornings, hard labor, and generations of stewardship on the land.

“Gatherings” highlights three multigenerational farms that help stock holiday tables in very real ways:

  • Russell Rezin & Son Cranberry Marsh in Wisconsin, led by fifth-generation cranberry farmer Amber Bristow whose harvest goes into Ocean Spray products
  • Footprints in the Garden in North Carolina, where sisters Erin and Carrie Martin run a historic Black-owned farm feeding their region while advocating for sustainable agriculture support
  • Elmwood Family Farms in Kentucky, a sixth-generation operation run by siblings John Bell and Ann Bell Stone, supplying produce and pasture-raised meats through their CSA and local partners.
