Elf on the Shelf gets busy around the farm and classroom

Has Elf on the Shelf hit your farm yet? The popular Christmas tradition involves a special scout elf that is sent each year from the North Pole to help Santa manage his naughty and nice lists.

When a family adopts and names an Elf on the Shelf, the elf receives Christmas magic and flies to the North Pole each night to report to Santa about all of the day’s shenanigans.

Each morning, the Elf on the Shelf then returns to its family and perches in a different place to check out the action. As soon as they wake up, kids often race around the house looking for their family’s beloved elf.

As Santa’s helper, “Scout Elf” may also be the perfect helper as an Ag in the Classroom Elf, thanks to Illinois’ new Elf on the Shelf Resource Booklet.

The new booklet contains ideas for 20 agriculture-themed Elf on the Shelf scenes, complete with example photos, materials needed, setup information, and a suggested note from Sprout. Each idea also contains book recommendations, ag facts to share, and activities to pair.
